The Bee, a casual hangout eatery that serves neighbourhood food and drink proved our decision right, when making a stopover here for dinner. Another cosy corner of Publika @ Solaris Dutamas, The Bee serves affordable fuss-free food!
An artsy environment that combines the touch of wooden adornment & colourful couches with different areas/ sections.
The Bee also serves ALL DAY BREAKFAST
Elvis Sandwich – RM12.50
Peanut butter and banana French toast sandwich fried in butter
A great combination of sweet banana with hints of saltiness from the peanut butter that was toasted evenly, & we had fun nibbling the chips together. Great snack order
Avocado Chicken Burger – RM18
Grilled chicken, house made avocado salsa, cheese, lettuce & house made aioli on a lightly toasted burger bun served with fries
Kudos to its taste however as you can notice, the chicken slice was pretty small. Not a really great price for its portion.
I still love their soft bun though
Fettucini Carbonara – RM18.50
Carbonara “The Bee way” with fettucini pasta tossed with beef, bacon, onions, parmesan cheese and egg yolks
Thumbs up to this dish as it was bursting with flavours. Creamy but not too satiating.
Chili Prawn Pasta – RM19.50
Spaghetti pasta tossed with prawns, cili padi, parsley and white wine
Love how the pasta was done till al dente with kicks of spiciness! Downside was the prawns as it was not really fresh. If they could improvise on this, it would be perfect. We would still be back for this dish!
Chicken & Mushroom Pie – RM16
Chicken and mushroom pie topped with pea mash and gravy with a side salad
Find this portion of pie rather unique as they combined it with pea mash, creating a whole new flavour. This pie is not the creamy type and good for sharing.
Churros with Chocolate Ganache – RM9
Spanish pastry served with Hershey’s chocolate Ganache
Crullers ala Espanyol style has always been one of my favourite, especially when dipped in hot chocolate! So rich and sinful!
Flat White
Verdict: Love their pasta. However the burger we had was kinda thrifty in its patty portion although taste wise was alright. Would be back for check out more of their coffee as well as food varieties

The carbonara looks so promising with generous amount of beef bacon. Shall head to the Jaya One’s outlet and try out their pasta (:
