Wondermama Restaurant & Cafe @ Bangsar Village 1

We were planning for dear hubby Chris’s birthday celebration with our BFFs (kampungboycitygal & AiWei) and Chris suggested that we go for his favourite mamak style spot.
In search for a mamak twist and at the same time a cosy environment, we settled for Wondermama @ Bangsar.
People have raved pretty much about this “very-atas” Mamak concept place that incorporates the Asian fusion touch as well as Wondermama’s aim to excite their patrons with offerings that all of us are familiar with, with a new twist of mega flavours.

If you live in Kuala Lumpur or are spending your holidays in the city, it’s a place worth visiting for the food and decor. The decor in Wondermama makes one reminisce as every detail brings back retro moments from the older days. From old calendars, retro tiles, utensils storage cabinets, old kerosene lamps and many more. Every corner is adorned with something cute and old that bring back the old time dining experience. Food wise, expect a fusion of western and local flavors!

Salted egg fried rice – RM12.90
A simple fragrant fried rice with salted egg, vegetables, chicken, egg & long beans

D & L Nyonya Laksa – RM13.90
Loaded with eggs, cucumber, prawn, fish cake & cockles. A very thick & flavoursome concoction of laksa broth. You’ll love it!

Nasi Lemak 2.0 – RM16.90
Served with sambal petai sotong, cucumber, kacang, ikan bilis, egg & Japanese style fried chicken. Oh yes, they even have Nasi Lemak 2.0S, 3.0 & 4.0.
Take your pick!

Special Seafood Maggi Mee Goreng – RM14.90
Fried instant noodles topped with sotong, scallop, prawn, egg, mixed vegetable, onion with special homemade spicy sauce. A “very-atas Maggi Goreng” we named it. Loaded with seafood instead of ordinary indian kuehs & fish cakes, this is one of the favourites at Wondermama 🙂

Roti Bakar – RM4.50
Butter, kaya & tobiko. Definitely not just an ordinary toast, as it’s spread with tobiko! that generated the extra bite-y texture!

Chris is a happy boy man!
