It was another public holiday of the year and I decided to meet up my bridesmaids for some detailed planning for the wedding. We chose over a purple hue eatery which was name cutely as Magenta, located in non other that the artsy mall of Publika.
At Magenta, you’ll love their cosy corner with touches of elegance from the black wood finishings as well as the combined theme of retro with black frames of old pictures nailed on a Magenta wall.

I was preparing to hop over to our regular Coffee Stain for coffee later so I had tea instead 🙂
Perfect Ceylon Tea – RM6
Strong, rich bright note. Best taken straight.
Best time to drink. Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner

Sands of Time as an indicator for different tea experience in different minutes!

They offer quite a few selections of teas from black to fruits 🙂

Cappuccino – RM10
White coloured cream adorned with a brown border(with hazelnut brown patterns on the decorated cappuccino) with very fine mesh and very fine holes or none at all. Full & creamy body with slight bitterness and almost imperceptible acidity, intense flavour. That’s what a cup of velvety Cappuccino should taste like, claimed Magenta 🙂

For the ladies to share 🙂 We just realized we had so much chicken after ordering. +.+

Escargots – RM12 (1/2 dozen)
Juicy snails, juicily grilled with parmesan cheese and breadcrumbs! Very addictive.

“Not Your Ordinary” Chicken Rice – RM29
Free range chicken cooked using mummy’s secret recipe with the freshly blended chillies.
An upper class plate of chicken rice which we don’t really find it “not ordinary” besides the hefty price.

Chicken & Mushroom Carbonara – RM26
Spaghetti with stir-fried chicken and fresh mushroom in white cream sauce

Magenta Chicken Chop – RM29
Crumbed chicken chop with brown tomato gravy. Served with mashed potato
Very Hainan style, I love the sauce as it’s tangy and appetizing.

Chicken Teriyaki Sandwich – RM25
Tender & juicy teriyaki chicken leg in sesame bun
Nothing would go wring which a teriyaki chicken burger. The meat was juicy and infused well with the sweet sauce but the bun was a little too hard to match.

Chicken & Mushroom Quiche – RM20
Chicken & mushroom in a filling of cheesy custard

Magenta: A great place to hang out for wedding meetings like us 🙂 That includes chic or chitchat, chilling with coffee or tea. Food wise, we were still a little reserved about it overall. Not very bad but just too ordinary to be complimented more. (Personal thoughts)
