When eating out now, there’s one important concern that Papa C and I would look for: Fun for the kids and a peace of mind.

As you become a parent, there is no way to run away from the responsibility of looking after the well-being of your kids, and one of the aspects of ensuring your children’s growth is ensuring that they are being well-fed. Also, the kids won’t be kicking up a fuss when you take them to these restaurants. Haha.

Never did I know as I entered:

The Prep Room

Mini C was holding onto me so tightly and he refused to enter the restaurant upon our arrival. The minute he saw a play area, he let loose and dashed into the Prep Room. LOL. Can’t help but I let out a smirk almost immediately and sighed with relief.

Thanks to Ivy, I’m glad to know the owners: Zaki & Kuan Ling – the mastermind behind this eatery.
Why the Prep Room? ‘Cos it’s all about preparation work! When one learn about their dishes and how they are made, you will understand. Almost every elements are made from scratch! And I was really impressed with their efforts – Kuan Ling who creatively married local ingredients with Thai spices and churn out a storm of special dishes with Western touches too. While Zaki, who aced in his barista counter and all the masterpieces in his restaurant.
He loves story-telling and expressed it all through his drawings and comics.

Happiness is…… when your kid behaves when you eat hahaha.
They have a small play corner that can keep my Mini C occupied.

Spicy Thai Spaghetti – RM18.50
Thai pepper and basil with seafood, tossed with linguine. You will notice that most of their dishes incorporates Thai elements and this is inspired from Kuan Ling & Zaki’s stay in Bangkok. This would be my favourite dish of the day, as it was packed with texture, flavours and ignition from the spiciness.
Sorry I’ve to say this again – Must order!

All Day Breakkie – RM22.50
Something out of ordinary, this breakfast comes with chicken or beef lorbak, omelette, homemade wholemeal bread, baked beans and stuffed bell pepper. I’ve not had any big breakfast with lorbak but according to Kuan Ling, she grew up with this comfort food in her hometown in Penang and the egg is the lovely “Cha Om” that is famous in Thai. Lots of elements here yo!
