The well known dining floor at ISETAN The Japan Store (The Table) offers sophisticated cuisine representative of Washoku (Japanese food). We’ve tried Sushi Azabu and was absolutely amazed by it. We’re anticipating to check out other restaurants as we’ve heard that they serve well-known cuisines in Japan made from premium ingredients and prepared by highly experienced Japanese chefs!

The Tokyo Restaurant

A restaurant filled with warmth, coziness, classy and sophisticated ambiance upon entering. Serving contemporary dishes full of Japanese essence. I love the setting being a living room for the city. Great dining place for dates and even with our family. They also own a sleek bar for one or a group to chill after work.

Tofu Wakame Seaweed Salad – RM22
Tofu, wakame seaweed, goma vinegrette, green vegetables, salmon skin, bonito flakes.
Huge portion of salad that is great for sharing. Loaded with tasty flavours that I wouldn’t expect much from a salad. Their Japanese salad proved me wrong. Healthy shares can be very tasty too. Can’t stop having it!

TTR Cobb Salad – RM24
Deep fried shrimp, chicken, gorgonzola, summer salad, with tabasco mayonnaise.
Another salad that is worth to shout about. Refreshing and has a complex texture thanks to the bouncy shrimps and crunchy crisps.

Wagyu Aburi Sushi – RM30 per piece
I recalled the moment of having Wagyu sushi at Osaka almost immediately upon wolfing down this share from Tokyo Restaurant. Beautifully seared with a melt-in-your-mouth texture.

Grilled Australian Wagyu Steak – RM100
Australian wagyu beef, onion sauce, Japanese mushrooms, ichimi, fried garlic and wasabi on side.
Another must-try on their menu, the steak was grilled perfectly medium-rare – Pink on point!
Meat was tender and juicy too.

6th Avenue Cheese Cake – RM16
Cheese cake whipped cream on top
One ordinary looking cake but worth tons of good comments. We’ve been hearing lots of good feedback about this piece of cheesecake ever since they open their doors. One might find it plain but I definitely loved it. The egg-y, creamy & milky taste was all on point. So good!

Mango Yogurt Sundae – RM16
Mango ice cream, yogurt sorbet, meringue with mango sauce.
A all-around wonderful dessert packed with fruity mango flavour. Yum.
