Le Lapin Cafe @ Taman Danau Desa, KL

Chris and I have been frequenting quite a lot on the hunts of coffee place cum a place to laze around during our off days lately. And thanks to the hubby again, we found another hideout for us to spend our free afternoon 🙂

Love its name simply because it’s cute. And the meaning behind it 🙂
Le Lapin literally means The Rabbit in French.
A cosy hideout that fits its name perfectly, it resembles the rabbit’s burrow where it’s sorta hidden, but creates the best comfy natural habitat for Le Lapin, as well as for their customers!
This little cafe is nestled on the 1st floor, on the same row as the famous Woo Pin Fish Head Noodles at Taman Danau Desa, at Plaza Danau 2 commercial center.

However, one little drawback that you should really look out for if you wish to visit this cafe is its signboard visibility (as they don’t have one). You would easily miss it if you were to spot it casually. Instead, you could perhaps look out for this Pink signboard below. 😛 And on top, you would then notice a little rabbit assembled and paste out of recycled magazines.

Le Lapin is run by a lovely lady, Eliza solely at the moment. We were quite impressed with the way she work her things out. From managing the cafe, cooking, baking, brewing the coffee and servicing her customers. Great effort & we love her cafe!

We were greeted by her warm smile & a cute countertop laid out with used Farmhouse milk cartons as well as selections of different Twinnings Tea on cute pegs! There were not many dessert selections left when we visited, so another excuse for next visit 🙂

The interior of the cafe is pretty simple with unfinished floorings that gave the rustic effect, spacious arrangements of tables & chairs, and I love the giant rabbit mural on their wall which suits their theme. And not to forget the cosy window area with a touch of purple hues pillows. Feels like a homely hideout. Like a rabbit. Haha.

One of their must-try and signature:
Arabica heart-shaped Ice Cubes with Cold Milk & Syrup – RM12
Pour your cold milk in it to create your coffee with milk! I love this ‘cos I personally prefer my coffee with milk. For those who likes just black coffee or less milk version, you could opt for their other coffee selection on the menu.

As for food, the variety is quite limited for time being. For breakfast, their offer croissants, sandwiches & muesli starting from RM5.
And we had their lunch set at RM14.90 that includes Black Coffee/Tea, Mains of either a chicken pie or spaghetti & a cupcake. Available from 12pm – 3pm.
