Prime Steak Restaurant @ Le Meridien, KL

Chris has quite a thing for beef when it comes to protein source. So when mentioned Prime, he is more than happy to escort me there 🙂
Primes’s pride: everyone knows that!
Serving only the finest beef around the world and of course complemented with the exquisite selections of fine wine.
While scrutinizing the menu, you would have to spend a little while there to pick your piece of favourite cut as there are a large variety of steaks that they’re featuring; Australian, Japanese beef & premium beef from USA. Wagyu beef, Black Angus 200 days grain-fed steaks and Australian 120 and 80 day aged steaks are some of the PRIME selections.

Quaint & dazzling ambiance

Complimentary fresh bakes by Prime. Spread on some flavoured butter and they were so memorable to start your meal with. Crispy outer and soft core.

For starters, initially we would love to go for their Foie Gras having heard how delicious it is. Too bad it wasn’t available 🙁
Seared sea scallops – RM55
Parmesan potato, poached egg, fresh herbs dressing
Great choice to start with as the scallop was fresh and the combination of the herb flavours was a perfect match. Drench a lil’ runny yolk from the poached egg to make the texture much more smoother and dense 🙂

Australian Black Angus Gourmet Pasture Fed Beef – RM150
Centre cut fillet mignon (8oz / 220g)
“In Australia, cattle are predominantly pasture-fed, producing leaner beef. It is an important source of protein, essential vitamins and minerals.” PRIME claimed 🙂
Chris went for his usual order of medium rare. He loves it as the cut was tender and juicy.
Fillet mignon is a steak cut of beef taken from the smaller end of the tenderloin.

Grilled American cod fish (8oz / 220g) – RM90
Yes I know it’s a bit unusual to have a non beef order in Prime. haha. But I just love my order of cod fish! Very juicy and smooth, the fish was fresh. With hints on saltiness in every bite. yummeh 🙂

And as for the side dishes:
Steak fries seasoned with Cajun spices – RM15
Some crispy carbs!and it was accompanied with creamy butter sauce & BBQ sauce for dipping.

Charcoal grilled Australian Portobello mushrooms – RM30
A recommended order. We love portobello mushrooms and these meaty mushrooms are marinated in olive oil, onion and garlic. Tossed on a hot grill, cooked to perfection 🙂
