Namoo on the Park @ Publika

Publika is getting mounted with more conceptual cafes and eateries.
Getting on the hype of K-Pop culture nowadays, we got excited when we learnt that Namoo on the Park has opened.
Claimed to be the first Korean dessert café that serves a twist of modern Korean cuisine via bistro concept, the master minds are Koreans too.

We really love the name: Namoo.
It means ‘tree’ in Korean, focusing on a comfy & natural ambiance with the vow of churning out great Korean Dessert.

Love the wall: You can never make the same mistake twice. Because the second time you make it, it’s not a mistake, it’s a Choice.

Yuza Tea – RM7.90
Aromatic Korean Traditional Citrus Tea

Sweet Potato Latte – RM9.90
You’ll feel like you’re grabbing a huge bite of sweet potato and drinking a cup a full cream at the same time. Very satiating.

Bibi Rice – RM16.90
Mixed Vegetables and rice served with Korean chili sauce on the side.
Great presentation but lacking the taste of the genuine Korean hot pot. Quite a disappointment.

Fisherman’s Pancake – RM18.90
Korean style pancake with seafood and spring onions.
Great texture and tasty sauce on the side but lack of ingredients on the pancake itself.

Bibi Rice Burger – RM19.90
Grilled chicken breast and mixed vegetables with Bibi sauce.
Served on a handmade grilled rice bun. The rice bun was beautifully made and this was a very presentable dish. However, we personally thought the rice bun’s texture was too soft and the grilled chicken was too dry.

The King’s Bing Soo (choice of milk tea or green tea) – RM12.90
Shaved ice with rice cakes, red beans and ice cream sprinkled with multi-grain powder.
Living up to their title of bringing out the best of Korean desserts, this share of King’s Bing Soo is really for for the king.
Generous share of sweet ending.

Verdict: Modern and pretty interior – comfortable hang out spot. But we would only return for drinks and desserts.
