<p><strong>Shopping around Siam Square</strong></p>
<p>Very convenient walkway bridge that linked the main malls like MBK, Siam Paragon, Siam Square.</p>
<p><a title="DSC_8987-16 by icehawk123, on Flickr" href="http://www.flickr.com/photos/10927485@N05/7209882620/"><img src="http://farm8.staticflickr.com/7222/7209882620_8306db14fb_z.jpg" alt="DSC_8987-16" width="640" height="424" /></a></p>
<p><strong>#1 Siam Discovery Center &amp; Siam Center</strong><br />
Haven&#8217;t get enough of Naraya at Central World? Here&#8217;s the place for more!<br />
Restaurants and movie theaters are located at the top floor &amp; these 2 shopping malls are connected with a bridge on the 4th floor.</p>
<p>How to get here:<br />
Skytrain (BTS) to: National Stadium or Siam Station</p>
<p><strong>#2 Siam Paragon</strong></p>
<p>Located next to Siam Discovery Center and Siam Center. A large shopping mall with a huge supermarket; the Gourmet Market. This is also the home of the Siam Ocean World, one of the largest aquariums in Asia.</p>
<p>How to get here:<br />
Skytrain (BTS) to: Siam Station</p>
<p><strong>#3 MBK Center &#8211; Mah Boon Krong</strong><br />
Walking distance from Siam Square. A large mall that almost resembled our Sungei Wang Plaza in Malaysia. We personally thought that you could give this place a miss if you&#8217;re on a shopping mission. Otherwise, you can just visit their foodcourt.</p>
<p>How to get here:<br />
Skytrain (BTS) to: National Stadium or Siam Station</p>
<p><a title="DSC_8985-15 by icehawk123, on Flickr" href="http://www.flickr.com/photos/10927485@N05/7209882398/"><img src="http://farm6.staticflickr.com/5035/7209882398_1a3203fb21_z.jpg" alt="DSC_8985-15" width="640" height="424" /></a></p>
<p>&nbsp;</p>
<p><strong>#4 Siam Square</strong></p>
<p>One of the most intense and best shopping areas in Thailand. Well, if you want to compare the price at Platinum Mall which the shopping streets here, there would definitely be a difference as shops at Siam Square would be selling at a higher price. Still, I prefer shopping here <img src='http://www.broughtup2share.com/wp-includes/images/smilies/icon_smile.gif' alt=':)' class='wp-smiley' /> <strong> (Well, Chris nominated Terminal 21 a Number 1 for him)</strong>. Calling out shoppers, girls particularly, your heart will be melted as you move around different Sois. In-to-date apparels, accessories and cute shop designs.<br />
With a wide range of shops, restaurants, cafe, designer clothing boutiques, it&#8217;s a must visit for shoppers.<br />
We concentrated more at Soi 3 and Soi 5.</p>
<p>Soi 3. The street where I get my wedding ideas. So many cute gowns!</p>

<p>I should&#8217;ve get one of these!</p>

<p>&nbsp;</p>
<p><strong>#5 Breakfast @ Chester&#8217;s Grill</strong><br />
We were there at Siam Square pretty early. Ended up rounding at different streets for food as most restaurants or cafes only opens at 11am. Please take note on this.<br />
We then ended up at Chester&#8217;s Grill, a Thai fast food chain.<br />
Didn&#8217;t put much expectation on this initially and we ended up being surprised by these fast food items:</p>
<p><a title="IMG_1823-1 by icehawk123, on Flickr" href="http://www.flickr.com/photos/10927485@N05/7209881388/"><img src="http://farm8.staticflickr.com/7227/7209881388_039fd40b9c_z.jpg" alt="IMG_1823-1" width="640" height="480" /></a></p>
<p><strong>Grilled Pork Chop</strong><br />
A juicy piece of order and it was well marinated</p>
<p><a title="IMG_1824-2 by icehawk123, on Flickr" href="http://www.flickr.com/photos/10927485@N05/7209888554/"><img src="http://farm8.staticflickr.com/7225/7209888554_33f52362ae_z.jpg" alt="IMG_1824-2" width="640" height="480" /></a></p>
<p>&nbsp;</p>
<p><strong>Ebi Sandwich</strong><br />
Deep Fried Prawns Fillet with mayonaise was my favourite</p>
<p><a title="IMG_1825-3 by icehawk123, on Flickr" href="http://www.flickr.com/photos/10927485@N05/7209888916/"><img src="http://farm6.staticflickr.com/5457/7209888916_86ddd9bf1a_z.jpg" alt="IMG_1825-3" width="640" height="480" /></a></p>
<p>It&#8217;s definitely a great start to our boost our energy for an entire shopping day.</p>
<p><a title="IMG_1826-4 by icehawk123, on Flickr" href="http://www.flickr.com/photos/10927485@N05/7209889108/"><img src="http://farm9.staticflickr.com/8010/7209889108_12080d08cb_b.jpg" alt="IMG_1826-4" width="576" height="768" /></a></p>

<strong> Soi 3, Siam Square,</strong><br />
<strong> Rama 1 Road, Pathum Wan, Bangkok, 10330</strong></p>
<p>&nbsp;</p>
<p><strong>#6 Lunch @ ส้มตำนัว (Som Tam Nua) &#8211; Siam Square, Soi 5</strong><br />
Also known as Som Tam Paradise, a real Issan restaurant located at Soi 5. They serve traditional dishes from Northern East Thai such as Som Tam Lao (raw and spicy papaya salad) , Laab Moo (pork salad) and Khao Niau (traditional sticky rice).</p>
<p><a title="DSC_9006-18 by icehawk123, on Flickr" href="http://www.flickr.com/photos/10927485@N05/7209882072/"><img src="http://farm8.staticflickr.com/7215/7209882072_f1439bdaa1_z.jpg" alt="DSC_9006-18" width="640" height="424" /></a></p>

<p>Awarded by CNNGO as the Bangkok’s Best Som Tam, it&#8217;s populated by many local folks and lots of tourists of course.</p>
<p><a title="DSC_9002-17 by icehawk123, on Flickr" href="http://www.flickr.com/photos/10927485@N05/7209882842/"><img src="http://farm8.staticflickr.com/7099/7209882842_96421b13c0_b.jpg" alt="DSC_9002-17" width="509" height="768" /></a></p>
<p>Be prepared to queue, especially during peak hours. Orders being taken outside the restaurant.</p>

<p>&nbsp;</p>
<p><strong>Papaya Mix Salad &#8211; THB 75</strong><br />
Sourish and crunchy. I&#8217;m a big fan <img src='http://www.broughtup2share.com/wp-includes/images/smilies/icon_smile.gif' alt=':)' class='wp-smiley' /> </p>
<p><a title="DSC_9017-21 by icehawk123, on Flickr" href="http://www.flickr.com/photos/10927485@N05/7209883538/"><img src="http://farm6.staticflickr.com/5197/7209883538_b869d1bda4_b.jpg" alt="DSC_9017-21" width="509" height="768" /></a></p>
<p>&nbsp;</p>
<p><strong>Fried Chicken &#8211; THB 98</strong><br />
Very well infused with spices, it is definitely a must-order. Juicy and crispy! So finger licking good that it&#8217;s better than any other fried chicken we&#8217;ve had. Haha. That&#8217;s a personal thought.</p>
<p><a title="DSC_9026-25 by icehawk123, on Flickr" href="http://www.flickr.com/photos/10927485@N05/7209881828/"><img src="http://farm6.staticflickr.com/5330/7209881828_16fd8d502d_z.jpg" alt="DSC_9026-25" width="640" height="424" /></a></p>
<p>&nbsp;</p>
<p><strong>Grilled Pork Neck &#8211; THB 98</strong><br />
Tender and moist meat that goes well with the dipping sauce.</p>
<p><a title="DSC_9023-24 by icehawk123, on Flickr" href="http://www.flickr.com/photos/10927485@N05/7209884288/"><img src="http://farm6.staticflickr.com/5195/7209884288_885246597a_b.jpg" alt="DSC_9023-24" width="509" height="768" /></a></p>
<p>&nbsp;</p>
<p><strong>Tomsep Kadook On Moo soup (North East Style Spicy Soup with Pork Bone) &#8211; THB 97</strong><br />
An Issan-style sour and spicy Tom Yam soup that somehow tasted sweet as well, thanks to the addition of pork bone.</p>
<p><a title="DSC_9031-26 by icehawk123, on Flickr" href="http://www.flickr.com/photos/10927485@N05/7209884480/"><img src="http://farm9.staticflickr.com/8157/7209884480_5ea9ce8c01_b.jpg" alt="DSC_9031-26" width="509" height="768" /></a></p>

<p><strong>#7 Tea-Time @ Mango Tango</strong><br />
Tucked around a corner of Soi 5, the dessert hut is definitely a heaven for mango lovers. Like me!!<br />
I thought this sweet corner was a better version compared to Hong Kong&#8217;s Hui Lau Shan <img src='http://www.broughtup2share.com/wp-includes/images/smilies/icon_smile.gif' alt=':)' class='wp-smiley' /><br />
They have mangoes done in all versions; pudding, ice cream, fresh fruit and you can even have it in the classic version with sticky rice too!</p>

<p>Cute interior</p>
<p><strong>Mango Tango + Extra sticky rice &#8211; THB 145</strong><br />
Mango Pudding + Fresh Mango + Mango Ice Cream<br />
A heavenly combo to be shared!</p>

<p>&nbsp;</p>
<p><strong>Mango Parfait &#8211; THB 85</strong><br />

<p>Entrees</p>
<p><a title="DSC_9469-14 by chris@christine, on Flickr" href="http://www.flickr.com/photos/chrischristine/7179356696/"><img src="http://farm8.staticflickr.com/7215/7179356696_d044654188_b.jpg" alt="DSC_9469-14" width="509" height="768" /></a></p>
<p><strong>Wine: Brancott Marlborough Pinot Noir</strong><br />
<strong> Tartare of Smoked Salmon with Sea Trout – Remoulade</strong><br />
The fresh flavours of the smoked salmon was brought out perfectly with different texture; the smoother version on top and the minced version at the bottom with the trout. And i love how they adorned this dish with the ikuras <img src='http://www.broughtup2share.com/wp-includes/images/smilies/icon_smile.gif' alt=':)' class='wp-smiley' /> Definitely a healthy entree.</p>
<p><a title="DSC_9467-13 by chris@christine, on Flickr" href="http://www.flickr.com/photos/chrischristine/7179356502/"><img src="http://farm8.staticflickr.com/7211/7179356502_59f4ce1473_b.jpg" alt="DSC_9467-13" width="509" height="768" /></a></p>
<p><a title="DSC_9463-12 by chris@christine, on Flickr" href="http://www.flickr.com/photos/chrischristine/7179356330/"><img src="http://farm9.staticflickr.com/8002/7179356330_ec8bbcfcf2_z.jpg" alt="DSC_9463-12" width="640" height="424" /></a></p>
<p><strong>Wine: Brancott Marlborough Pinot Noir</strong><br />
<strong> Poached Foie Gras, Beef Consomme and Vegetables Brunoise</strong><br />
A surprise preparation of foie gras that we had, bidding goodbyes to the usual cooking method that we used to taste; pan fried. This poached version of foie gras was cleverly prepared. Retaining its juiciness while maintaining the &#8216;melt-in-your-mouth&#8217; criteria. Immersed in the beef consomme, that equaled perfectness. The consomme was very well flavoured and though there&#8217;s an intention to lick the bowl clean, we reminded ourselves about the table manners. Haha.</p>
<p><a title="DSC_9477-15 by chris@christine, on Flickr" href="http://www.flickr.com/photos/chrischristine/7179356846/"><img src="http://farm8.staticflickr.com/7093/7179356846_fbe4832e62_b.jpg" alt="DSC_9477-15" width="509" height="768" /></a></p>
<p><a title="DSC_9483-16 by chris@christine, on Flickr" href="http://www.flickr.com/photos/chrischristine/7179357004/"><img src="http://farm9.staticflickr.com/8142/7179357004_c72a5c2aa8_b.jpg" alt="DSC_9483-16" width="509" height="768" /></a></p>
<p>&nbsp;</p>
<p>Mains</p>
<p><a title="DSC_9456-11 by chris@christine, on Flickr" href="http://www.flickr.com/photos/chrischristine/7179353476/"><img src="http://farm6.staticflickr.com/5343/7179353476_6ff6b94141_b.jpg" alt="DSC_9456-11" width="509" height="768" /></a></p>
<p>&nbsp;</p>
<p><strong>Wine: Casillero del Diablo Chardonnay</strong><br />
<strong> Roulade of Chicken Breast and Asparagus Gratinee</strong><br />
The chicken breast was not too dry and rolled with great taste of fillings. Rolled around together with the chicken skin adds smoothness to it.</p>
<p><a title="DSC_9490-18 by chris@christine, on Flickr" href="http://www.flickr.com/photos/chrischristine/7179357312/"><img src="http://farm8.staticflickr.com/7225/7179357312_0a91a7363f_b.jpg" alt="DSC_9490-18" width="509" height="768" /></a></p>
<p><a title="DSC_9495-19 by chris@christine, on Flickr" href="http://www.flickr.com/photos/chrischristine/7179357668/"><img src="http://farm6.staticflickr.com/5447/7179357668_001c224d7b_b.jpg" alt="DSC_9495-19" width="509" height="768" /></a></p>
<p><strong>OR</strong></p>
<p><strong>Wine: Casillero del Diablo Chardonnay</strong><br />
<strong> White Truffle Oil Fish Pie!</strong><br />
One of Millesime&#8217;s signature dish, this is a must-try (provided it&#8217;s on the menu that particular day <img src='http://www.broughtup2share.com/wp-includes/images/smilies/icon_smile.gif' alt=':)' class='wp-smiley' /> )<br />
Beating the odds of having the usual dish of Chicken mushroom pie again, this truffle oil fish pie is definitely a good appetite makeover! Crispy outer pastry that was baked till golden brown, enclosing the creamy gems inside; fish fillets and mushrooms <img src='http://www.broughtup2share.com/wp-includes/images/smilies/icon_smile.gif' alt=':)' class='wp-smiley' /> </p>
<p><a title="DSC_9484-17 by chris@christine, on Flickr" href="http://www.flickr.com/photos/chrischristine/7179357168/"><img src="http://farm9.staticflickr.com/8142/7179357168_d3414c1801_b.jpg" alt="DSC_9484-17" width="509" height="768" /></a></p>
<p><a title="DSC_9500-20 by chris@christine, on Flickr" href="http://www.flickr.com/photos/chrischristine/7179357520/"><img src="http://farm8.staticflickr.com/7088/7179357520_0962799dec_b.jpg" alt="DSC_9500-20" width="509" height="768" /></a></p>
<p>Dessert<br />
<strong>Seasonal Berries – Macaroon Mille Feuille with Mango Sherbet</strong><br />
Though we personally thought the mango sherbet was a tad too sweet for our liking, the fresh berries, mangoes &amp; particularly the Macaroons saved it all!<br />
Well, we once claimed <a href="http://www.broughtup2share.com/2011/07/nathalies-gourmet-studio-solaris-dutamas-kl/" target="_blank">Nathalie&#8217;s Gourmet version</a> was delectable enough to be comparable to <a href="http://www.broughtup2share.com/2009/01/magnifique-paris-part-iii-desserts/" target="_blank">the ones we had in Paris</a>, Millesime&#8217;s Macaroons won hands down this round. A more compact version, well infused with the flavours and most importantly not too sweet <img src='http://www.broughtup2share.com/wp-includes/images/smilies/icon_smile.gif' alt=':)' class='wp-smiley' /><br />
According to Millesime, we can pre-order their Macaroons! Yay! We were served with flavours of Chocolate &amp; Pistachio that day.</p>

<strong>Pork Satay (Cannot be missed!) &#8211; RM 24</strong><br />
Plump and juicy, served with their very own Chili Peanut Sauce and a side salad. <p><a title="DSC_9343-3 by chris@christine, on Flickr" href="http://www.flickr.com/photos/chrischristine/7004724332/"><img src="http://farm9.staticflickr.com/8007/7004724332_ec025e971b_z.jpg" alt="DSC_9343-3" width="640" height="424" /></a></p>
<p>&nbsp;</p>
<p><span style="text-decoration: underline;"><strong>Bar Bites</strong></span><br />
<strong>Golden Prawns &#8211; RM 18</strong><br />
Prawns dipped in batter, rolled in coconut &amp; crumbs and fried golden. Paired with Pineapple Chili Padi Chutney.<br />
Fresh prawns fried till golden resulting a crispy nibble which is another perfect bar bite. Dipping it into their &#8216;kickin&#8217; sauce is another must-do as it will give you a sourish and spicy surprise!</p>
<p><a title="DSC_9354-4 by chris@christine, on Flickr" href="http://www.flickr.com/photos/chrischristine/7150814325/"><img src="http://farm8.staticflickr.com/7201/7150814325_83dc91e8f4_z.jpg" alt="DSC_9354-4" width="640" height="424" /></a></p>
<p>&nbsp;</p>
<p><strong>Churros! &#8211; RM 16</strong><br />
Deep fried Spanish skinny doughnuts, dusted with cinnamon sugar. Served with their outrageously thick hot chocolate sauce.<br />
We love Spanish crullers! These skinny sweethearts are by far the best we had in Malaysia (well, not to mention about the ones on Spain.. haha). Not oily and well coated with hints of sugar and adding a touch of cinnamon (very clever). With thick chocolate sauce? Very sinful!</p>
<p><a title="DSC_9357-5 by chris@christine, on Flickr" href="http://www.flickr.com/photos/chrischristine/7004724848/"><img src="http://farm8.staticflickr.com/7275/7004724848_5ca0e23a03_b.jpg" alt="DSC_9357-5" width="509" height="768" /></a></p>
<p>&nbsp;</p>
<p><span style="text-decoration: underline;"><strong>Mains</strong></span></p>
<p><strong>Heaven is Pork Pizza &#8211; RM 28</strong><br />
10” kitchen made thin crust, spicy tomato sauce, minced pork, minced Italian sausage, spicy pork sausage, smoked streaky bacon, back bacon, olives, onion rings, cheddar, mozzarella &amp; parmesan.<br />
Not very often we get to eat Pork Pizza. A contrast with Kissaten&#8217;s version of Char Siew Pizza which is sweet, Legend&#8217;s version was saltier in taste. The thin crust base was brimmed with ingredients &amp; very cheesy too!<br />
Bacon on a pizza? Who could resist?</p>
<p><a title="DSC_9368-6 by chris@christine, on Flickr" href="http://www.flickr.com/photos/chrischristine/7150814905/"><img src="http://farm8.staticflickr.com/7241/7150814905_c185c01e39_z.jpg" alt="DSC_9368-6" width="640" height="424" /></a></p>
<p><strong>Kickin’ Ancho Chili Chicken &#8211; RM 22</strong><br />
Ancho chili seasoned chicken breast topped with chicken ham, BBQ sauce and melted mozzarella cheese. Double layers of everything! Served with creamy mash, gravy and a dressed salad.<br />
Another very filling meat portion that is best shared, the chicken breast is definitely not dry in texture. Well infused with BBQ sauce and topped beautifully with the cheesy layer.</p>
<p><a title="DSC_9370-7 by chris@christine, on Flickr" href="http://www.flickr.com/photos/chrischristine/7150814931/"><img src="http://farm8.staticflickr.com/7070/7150814931_fd0503b752_z.jpg" alt="DSC_9370-7" width="640" height="424" /></a></p>
<p><strong>Fried Parmesan Chicken Sandwich &#8211; RM 22</strong><br />
Crispy chicken fillet in very own buttery Milk Panini bread, spicy tomato pesto, wild rocket and ground parmesan. Served with side fries and chili sauce.<br />
According to Legends, it&#8217;s a great order of &#8220;grab and go&#8221; especially for busy KL-ites. Once served, this &#8216;huge sandwich&#8217; definitely gave us a shock. Such thick meat patty! Definitely worth the money for meat lovers!</p>
<p><a title="DSC_9375-8 by chris@christine, on Flickr" href="http://www.flickr.com/photos/chrischristine/7004723772/"><img src="http://farm8.staticflickr.com/7082/7004723772_11a6a99895_z.jpg" alt="DSC_9375-8" width="640" height="424" /></a><br />
<strong>Cuban Pulled Pork Quesadillas &#8211; RM 22</strong><br />
Flour tortilla stuffed with tender pork shoulder, caramelized onions, melted cheeses and served with salsa &amp; sour cream.<br />
Another perfect savoury that is pork filled! This Mexican style pancake is well infused with the Malaysian flavours. Pairing this the salsa sauce? Just so perfect.</p>
<p><a title="DSC_9377-9 by chris@christine, on Flickr" href="http://www.flickr.com/photos/chrischristine/7004723770/"><img src="http://farm8.staticflickr.com/7103/7004723770_7573b1a709_b.jpg" alt="DSC_9377-9" width="509" height="768" /></a></p>

<p>Hotel Sintra is located at the popular commercial hub of Macau and is merely moments away from the 24-hour Lisboa Casino. It&#8217;s just 15 minutes from the Macau International Airport and 5 minutes from the Macau Maritime Ferry Terminal. Best of all, there&#8217;s a free shuttle service to Taipa Island just outside the hotel every half and hours! (It&#8217;s actually buses provided by the casinos on Taipa Island, fetching tourists to their respective casinos) Really convenient!</p>
<p>Since our hotel is located at the popular tourist hub, we then took a short walk towards Senado Square.</p>

<p><strong>#2 Leitaria I Son (義順牛奶公司)</strong><br />
Our first stop for breakfast: a little establishment well known for their milk based puddings and desserts!</p>

<p>Leitaria I Son&#8217;s Signature: Double Skin Milk Pudding (“Xiong Pei Tan Nai”) is a mixture of egg &amp; milk being steamed until there are layers of so-called &#8220;milk skin&#8221; formed on top of the pudding. So smooth and I love the aftertaste of milk!</p>
<p><a title="DSC_5299-1 by icehawk123, on Flickr" href="http://www.flickr.com/photos/10927485@N05/7137486695/"><img src="http://farm8.staticflickr.com/7047/7137486695_10684ccbb0_b.jpg" alt="DSC_5299-1" width="509" height="768" /></a></p>
<p>Another version of Milk Pudding topped with Red Bean Paste.<br />
Don&#8217;t really fancy this as it&#8217;s too sweet to our liking.</p>
<p><a title="DSC_5301-27 by icehawk123, on Flickr" href="http://www.flickr.com/photos/10927485@N05/6991404400/"><img src="http://farm9.staticflickr.com/8165/6991404400_e7500a7f64_b.jpg" alt="DSC_5301-27" width="509" height="768" /></a></p>
<p>We also had Polo Bun which we thought was just mediocre.</p>

<p><strong>#3 Rua da Felicidade</strong><br />
Also known as the Happiness Street is located between Largo de Santo Agostinho and Largo do Senado. This street was once the heart of Macau&#8217;s red lights district which now have turned into a cute shopping street with traditional red roofs. <p>SHOPPING was the essential activity we did in Bangkok! With limited time, here&#8217;s a little guide on how we shopped at Bangkok&#8217;s latest malls, wholesale spots and their popular markets. Eating was actually our part-time this trip! Nonetheless, we would still find time for some delicious Nom-Noms in the midst of Bangkok&#8217;s Jam!</p>
<p>Been slacking a lot with the HK-Macau posts <em>*oops*</em><br />
With Bangkok&#8217;s quick shopping itinerary write-up coming up, this is an addition to our travelogue <img src='http://www.broughtup2share.com/wp-includes/images/smilies/icon_smile.gif' alt=':)' class='wp-smiley' /><br />
Will be more hardworking <strong>*I promise*</strong> <img src='http://www.broughtup2share.com/wp-includes/images/smilies/icon_smile.gif' alt=':)' class='wp-smiley' /> </p>

<p>A wall with listings of the awards won, including the best restaurants and also the prestigious Michelin star.<br />
<strong>(which also best explain for the price we pay <img src='http://www.broughtup2share.com/wp-includes/images/smilies/icon_razz.gif' alt=':P' class='wp-smiley' /> )</strong></p>
<p><a title="DSC_5222-16 by icehawk123, on Flickr" href="http://www.flickr.com/photos/10927485@N05/6874985306/"><img src="http://farm8.staticflickr.com/7225/6874985306_1b19837f7e_z.jpg" alt="DSC_5222-16" width="640" height="424" /></a></p>
<p>&nbsp;</p>
<p>The very first dish that all should try and all tables have:<br />
<strong>Century eggs (皮蛋)</strong> &#8211; preserved duck or chicken eggs in a clay and ash mixture for months<br />
You might say century eggs is just another rather ordinary dish, but at Yung Kee, this is a premium snack.<br />
The eggs are gorgeously assembled with pickled ginger and what&#8217;s the catch?<br />
Clear translucent tea-coloured “egg white” with creamy, a little runny grey yolk.</p>
<p><a title="DSC_5193-6 by icehawk123, on Flickr" href="http://www.flickr.com/photos/10927485@N05/7021089053/"><img src="http://farm8.staticflickr.com/7256/7021089053_5bd3c89007_b.jpg" alt="DSC_5193-6" width="509" height="768" /></a></p>
<p>&nbsp;</p>
<p><strong>Roasted Goose</strong><br />
The pretty bird roasted beautifully, with great meat texture. The skin was a little soggy though.<br />
A quarter portion that costs more than HKD150! Hefty price.<br />
However, I would still prefer to have roasted duck if you ask me <img src='http://www.broughtup2share.com/wp-includes/images/smilies/icon_smile.gif' alt=':)' class='wp-smiley' /> </p>
<p><a title="DSC_5201-8 by icehawk123, on Flickr" href="http://www.flickr.com/photos/10927485@N05/7021089681/"><img src="http://farm8.staticflickr.com/7207/7021089681_07cdb64f6c_z.jpg" alt="DSC_5201-8" width="640" height="424" /></a></p>
<p>&nbsp;</p>
<p><strong>Sauteed Deep Fried Fresh Squid</strong><br />
Too much batter and too salty</p>
<p><a title="DSC_5205-9 by icehawk123, on Flickr" href="http://www.flickr.com/photos/10927485@N05/7021089833/"><img src="http://farm8.staticflickr.com/7087/7021089833_5d3e368180_b.jpg" alt="DSC_5205-9" width="509" height="768" /></a></p>
<p>&nbsp;</p>
<p><strong>Vegetable with Crab Meat</strong><br />
Love the gravy as it was infused well with the crab flavours</p>
<p><a title="DSC_5212-11 by icehawk123, on Flickr" href="http://www.flickr.com/photos/10927485@N05/6874984492/"><img src="http://farm8.staticflickr.com/7076/6874984492_2c7f2118b3_b.jpg" alt="DSC_5212-11" width="509" height="768" /></a></p>
<p>&nbsp;</p>
<p><strong>Steamed Spare Ribs in Plum Sauce</strong><br />
Another ordinary dish to omit, this dish was a tad too sweet to our liking</p>
<p><a title="DSC_5215-12 by icehawk123, on Flickr" href="http://www.flickr.com/photos/10927485@N05/6874984630/"><img src="http://farm8.staticflickr.com/7037/6874984630_d91c8a4a48_b.jpg" alt="DSC_5215-12" width="509" height="768" /></a></p>
<p>&nbsp;</p>
<p><strong>Sliced Beef with Flat Rice Noodle</strong><br />
A dish that Chris has been anticipated to try in Hong Kong, as he loves flat noodles with beef.<br />
With disappointment, it doesn&#8217;t leave a good impression: too oily!</p>
<p><a title="DSC_5208-10 by icehawk123, on Flickr" href="http://www.flickr.com/photos/10927485@N05/7021089987/"><img src="http://farm8.staticflickr.com/7280/7021089987_e666230c8f_b.jpg" alt="DSC_5208-10" width="509" height="768" /></a></p>
<p><em><strong>Verdict: A classy Chinese restaurant with just average taste. We would only vote for the Roasted Goose and the Century Eggs (based on our own preference).</strong></em></p>
<p><strong>Yung Kee Restaurant 镛记酒家</strong><br />
32-40 Wellington Street,<br />
Central, Hong Kong.<br />
香港中環威靈頓街32-40 號</p>
<p>Open: 11am – 11:30pm</p>
<p>&nbsp;</p>
<p><span style="text-decoration: underline;"><strong>See HK</strong></span></p>
<p><strong>Pottinger Street</strong><br />
Most locals would named it <strong>Stone Slab Street (Sek Ban Gai 石板街)</strong> as the stretch of steps are run down with granite stones.<br />
This would definitely look familiar to you as most TVB dramas might have a scene or two at this famous street itself. It would be a better idea to stroll around here on a day time as there will be more sight seeings and shoppings. If you are going to a costume party, this is the place to come to for various accessories to gear you up.<br />
Too bad the shops are closed when we decided to walk up to Lan Kwai Fong.</p>

<p>Nevermind,</p>
<blockquote><p><em><strong>It&#8217;s time for Happy Hour!</strong></em></p></blockquote>
<p><strong>Lan Kwai Fong 蘭桂坊</strong> is no stranger at all.<br />
A world renowned district is which is home to over 100 restaurants and bars. Just around the corner from the city&#8217;s busy Central business district, it&#8217;s the happening hang-out spots for afterwork drinks.</p>

<p>We entered <strong>Frites: Belgium on Tap</strong><br />
Cousins praised it&#8217;s an upbeat dining spot and serves great beer. It owned a contemporary European ambiance with an old school Belgian Bar that serves Belgian beers on tap, and also bottled beers!<br />
Signature Dishes (according to Open Rice HK): Grilled Wagyu Beef Brisket with Soft Olive Oil and Mashed Potato with Mushroom and Herbs Supplements, Buckets of Mussels served with frites and mayonnaise, Grilled Lamb Leg</p>

<p>Located just right beside <a href="http://www.broughtup2share.com/2012/03/ricetaurant-bangsar-village-2/" target="_blank">Ricetaurant (which we reviewed earlier)</a>, <strong>Canoodling</strong> is another cute &amp; casual noodle house that serves a variety of noodles, including everything Asian in a bowl! From small bites, salads to very lovable local delights, your order can be extended till next door (Yes. You can order from Ricetaurant too)<br />
The place was brightly lit with their yellow theme: Bright; with cute lamps hung up and creative illustrations.</p>

<blockquote><p><em><strong>Noodle Time!</strong></em></p></blockquote>
<p><strong>The Canoodle Oodles of Noodles &#8211; RM11.90</strong><br />
Greyhound thailand inspired complicated noodles with stacks of iceberg lettuce leaves &amp; coriander, marinated minced chicken in dark soy &amp; coriander root, plus steamed silken rice noodle sheets, each served in its own bowl with a spicy coriander garlic sauce; to eat, assemble into little parcels and share as you please.<br />
In short, it&#8217;s a serving of Chee Cheung Fun (CCF) with tasty minced chicken and spicy coriander garlic sauce that gave the extra kick! I personally loved this dish and it&#8217;s great for sharing.</p>
<p><a title="DSC_7902-10 by icehawk123, on Flickr" href="http://www.flickr.com/photos/10927485@N05/6850965876/"><img src="http://farm7.staticflickr.com/6211/6850965876_0f4c6c4b3e_z.jpg" alt="DSC_7902-10" width="640" height="424" /></a></p>
<p>&nbsp;</p>
<p><strong>Dan Dan Mein &#8211; RM11.90</strong><br />
Hand-made noodles tossed in a peanut buttery spicy Szechuan sauce with minced chicken heaped with curly cucumber &amp; crunchy peanuts.<br />
Not really spicy and it doesn&#8217;t carry the Szechuan taste.</p>
<p><a title="DSC_7898-9 by icehawk123, on Flickr" href="http://www.flickr.com/photos/10927485@N05/6850965494/"><img src="http://farm7.staticflickr.com/6033/6850965494_9a81c3b827_b.jpg" alt="DSC_7898-9" width="509" height="768" /></a></p>
<p>&nbsp;</p>
<p><strong>Red Curry Duck Confit Noodles &#8211; RM13.90</strong><br />
Charcoal noodles topped with thai-styled red curry with lychees, finished with a whole crispy duck leg &amp; fresh basil.<br />
Everyone&#8217;s favourite dish as the charcoal noodles was well infused with the tasty curry. We cleaned up the bowl fast.</p>
<p><a title="DSC_7913-13 by icehawk123, on Flickr" href="http://www.flickr.com/photos/10927485@N05/6997091847/"><img src="http://farm7.staticflickr.com/6240/6997091847_c0e5a15d85_b.jpg" alt="DSC_7913-13" width="509" height="768" /></a></p>

<p>&nbsp;</p>
<p><strong>Wok Fried Loh Shu Fun &#8211; RM12.90</strong><br />
Thick rice noodles wok-fried with seafood, egg, beansprouts, chives, a touch of chilli and garlic.<br />
Loaded with lotsa wok-hei, but too bad we find it kinda oily.</p>
<p><a title="DSC_7896-8 by icehawk123, on Flickr" href="http://www.flickr.com/photos/10927485@N05/6997090127/"><img src="http://farm8.staticflickr.com/7207/6997090127_f9cff17214_b.jpg" alt="DSC_7896-8" width="509" height="768" /></a></p>
<p>&nbsp;</p>
<p><strong>Ayam Percik &amp; Salted Egg with Nasi Ulam – RM19.90 (Dish from Ricetaurant)</strong><br />
<strong> *served with soup of the day and Dessert</strong></p>
<p><a title="DSC_7905-11 by icehawk123, on Flickr" href="http://www.flickr.com/photos/10927485@N05/6850966318/"><img src="http://farm8.staticflickr.com/7246/6850966318_1f3d67ce58_z.jpg" alt="DSC_7905-11" width="640" height="424" /></a></p>
<p>&nbsp;</p>
<p><strong>Inche Kabin &#8211; RM15.90 (Dish from Ricetaurant)</strong><br />
Nyonya Fried Chicken with tasty sauce to go with <img src='http://www.broughtup2share.com/wp-includes/images/smilies/icon_smile.gif' alt=':)' class='wp-smiley' /> </p>
<p><a title="DSC_7908-12 by icehawk123, on Flickr" href="http://www.flickr.com/photos/10927485@N05/6997091557/"><img src="http://farm7.staticflickr.com/6238/6997091557_6e4d1df681_b.jpg" alt="DSC_7908-12" width="509" height="768" /></a></p>
<p>&nbsp;</p>
