K-Gloss Keratin Treatment & Hair Colour by A Cut Above

Hair colouring is a way of life for many people. Although some decide on a change of colour for creative reasons, many individuals go under the bottle to cover up grey hair. But hair dye may offer other benefits than covering up signs of ageing.

I just visited A Cut Above recently to colour my hair (well actually to touch up my roots) & to fix my unhealthy, dry, frizzy and “out of shape” hair.
I’ve did quite a so-called drastic change, getting out of my comfort zone to a greenish-ash hair colour + highlights during CNY and though it is just less than 2 months, the darker shades of my hair root is quite obvious & the ashy colour has turned almost golden brown.

Upon reaching A Cut Above at their Mid Valley’s outlet, I was ushered to my seat and was attended by my hairstylist Patrick. He advised that I should keep my current hair colour as it suits my complexion & he really loved it. Haha. Well, better listen to the professional.
He & his assistant May then helped me to touch up my roots lighter and immediately I looked refreshed again. This hair colour gave my hair an added body: that’s because colouring plumps the hair shaft and can make hair temporarily thicker and with more body than before.
It also has the shine and dimension, creating varied hues that pick up and reflect light differently –
making my hair seem more vibrant and interesting.

And thus I’ve always been colouring my hair. Haha. But only like once or twice a year as changing one’s hair shade can make other attributes stand out more. Eyes may seem more radiant and skin less washed out! Experimenting with different shades can help a person find the best version of themselves, says Patrick. And he also asked me to go for a new colour next round! I can’t wait to be less boring one more time next round. LOL.
