Couldn’t thank The Techy Hub more for their web design service!

Like the phrase ‘beauty is in the eye of the beholder’, effective web design is judged by the users of the website and not the website owners. So true!
There are many factors that affect the usability of a website, and it is not just about how good it looks, but also function – how easy is it to use?

So what makes good web design?

1. Purpose

Good web design always caters to the needs of the user. Are your web visitors looking for information, entertainment, or to transact with your business? Each page of the website needs to have a clear purpose, and to fulfil a specific need for your website users in the most effective way possible. Like ours – it’s all u can find about Food, Travel & Leisure!

2. Communication

People on the web tend to want information quickly, so it is important to communicate clearly, and make our information easy to read and digest. Some effective tactics to include in your web design include: organising information using headlines and sub headlines, using bullet points instead of long windy sentences. Haha.

3. Colours

A well thought out colour palette can go a long way to enhance the user experience. A white space is very effective at giving our website a modern and uncluttered look. Our website used to be pretty colourful which we thought it was quite untidy with too much colours. Now it’s all clean and more minimal!

4. Images

A picture can speak a thousand words, and choosing the right images for the website can help with increasing engagements and connecting with our target audience. This can be much more effective at communicating than even the most well written piece of text.

5. Grid Based Layouts

Placing content randomly on web page can end up with a haphazard appearance that is messy. Grid based layouts arrange content into sections and columns that line up, which leads to a better looking website design. Win!

6. Load Time

Everybody hates a website that takes ages to load. And especially if we’ve a post that has lots of pictures in it, most of the readers will complain about the loading time. Now with a revamp, and some magic they did for us, our website definitely load faster now!

7. Mobile Friendly

It is now commonplace to access websites from multiple devices with multiple screen sizes, so it is important to consider if your website is mobile friendly! Our site used to be non-mobile friendly and it would take sometime to load as well. And again, it looked messy.
Well, now you see!

Thank you so much to http://thetechyhub.com/ for my new website!
Your creativity, excitement for web design and your patience with me are really appreciated. I would highly recommend their service to anyone looking for a new or revamped website. A really excellent service and highly efficient, I am already seeing the benefits after only a few weeks.
Papa C and I had very specific ideas for our website, and as our site was being developed, I quickly realized that, upon request, they has the ability to “give you the exact haircut you asked for”, even if it is not what they think will work or look the best on you.
