We used to frequent the houses that sells noodles like pan mee at Serdang new village homes a lot. And having heard that there’s a new place in town that attracted queues and made it to the papers, it’s a must to try for sure!

Take a step into the old-fashioned Chinese kampung homes with zinc roof sheets that evokes another era.

Manned by a young couple, they did a wonderful job in introducing exciting Malaysian most loved cuisine – nasi lemak, Serdang’s famous delicacy – pan mee and desserts like ABC.

They also have a well-thought-out decor that brings an ambiance like no other. Stepping inside this eatery is like going back to the 70s, Malaysian-style. With television set, PVC cord chairs, retro posters, vintage paper calendars, kerosene lamps emit nostalgia, especially for those who grew up living with all these.

Not forgetting the counter with old school snacks like Haw Flakes Candy, Chocolate Candies in a Canister etc.

Nasi Lemak with Signature Fried Large Chicken Leg – RM10.50

This is their best seller served on an enamel plate. This dish is found on every table here! The rice has a rich coconut milk taste & their sambal really enhances the rest of toppings in the mouth. It’s fiery! Later that we know that they uses basmati rice, the healthier grains option.
Now we understood why there’s always a queue. We could already smell the aroma of the fried chicken when lining up for our seats! Juicy tender meat paired with crispy golden skin!

Sambal Sotong – RM5.50

It’s quite a generous portion and it was addictive! Spicy, sweet and chewy.
