Both of us are huge fans of Spanish cuisine and when Chris asked for a lunch out at a Mediterranean & Tapas restaurant nestled at Solaris Dutamas with our little one, I agreed immediately.

Established in 1996, Moussandra serves authentic Greek, Spanish and Italian cuisine in a rustic and cosy ambiance. Never did we know that it is one of the oldest Mediterranean and tapas restaurant in Kuala Lumpur! Shame on us. Oops.
Moussandra shifted over the past 15 years from Jalan Pinang to KL Plaza & finally now at Solaris Dutamas.

I love this place from the entrance itself. Rustic, traditional, classical ambiance and deco that brought out the character of the restaurant itself. Wooden details, cozy interior and a reminiscent of family-style restaurants that resembled that of Spain.

The owner is very friendly to show us around. This is their event room 🙂 For parties or other private functions.

An order of Sangria is a must for Chris.
It was really refreshing. Our fave alcoholic thirst quencher!

Sangria please Daddy!

Since there were only 2 of us and a baby, well Mini C can’t take these yet, so we settled for one tapas and a Spanish rice.

Gambas Al Ajillo
Garlic Prawns in Olive Oil
Fresh prawns well infused with the strong flavours of garlic and olive oil. So flavoursome.

Paella Valenciana – RM45
Saffron flavoured rice overflowing with squids, clams, fish, prawns, mussels, chicken, chicken sausages & vegetables like red capsicum and green peas. This paella has layers of flavours, building the depth of taste. Not too rich but very tasty. Very generous with the seafood too! Remember to squeeze the lemon on top and you’re in Spanish bliss.

We are gonna come back for more Sangria and tapas for sure! Anyone?
