Pollen @ Gardens by the Bay, Singapore

Thanks to the Raya holidays, we managed to catch a short break bringing ourselves down south quite spontaneously. We planed to indulge & pamper ourselves with more great and beautiful food upon touching down Singapore. Having heard so much about the Gardens by the Bay and its beautiful environment, Chris and I decided to dine around here.

Pollen is a fine dining restaurant located in the Flower Dome at Gardens by the Bay and surrounded by the beautiful varied vegetation. It’s simple interior design compliments perfectly with the vegetation landscape which aims to bring the the Mediterranean landscape into interior experience. At Pollen, we experienced a welcoming fine-dining ambiance within a climate-controlled environment in an unrivalled setting, inspired by the Mediterranean culture and cuisine. This conceptual design was pretty brilliant as diners like us just love dining in garden oasis surrounded by plants & lush greenwalls that creates an approach to nature. A more more casual and less chi chi bistro-like 🙂

What are they serving?
Pretty food!
They serve mainly Mediterranean-inspired modern European cuisine in a distinctive setting surrounded by temperate olive trees, herbs and vegetation, complete with a sub 20 degree temperature, allowing diners to escape the usual heat and humidity of the Singapore weather.

Best of all, you eat in the comforts of the Flower Dome that will cost around S$20 per entry. Dining at Pollen, you will have free admission into the Flower Dome.

We had their:

Lunch Set at SGD55++ (approximately RM138++) per pax
Available daily from 12pm to 2.30pm
*The menu is seasonal and is subject to change

You can choose 1 from their 3 choices offered for each course, but we managed to try all of them as we ordered different dishes for sharing 🙂
**Very good dishes, well-flavoured & cleverly paired, very presentable and memorable.

When seated, we were served with some delicious complimentary bread & snacks.

Homemade seaweed butter & black sesame butter to go with the sourdough bread

After our lunch, we decided to take a stroll in their cooling Flower Dome. Free admission for diners at Pollen (usually cost about SGD 20 per pax).
Enter a world of perpetual spring, where unique plants bloom in an ever changing display of flowers, plants from the Mediterranean and semi-arid subtropical regions.
