The Steakhouse @ Changkat Bukit Bintang, KL

If you happen to be a steak person, you should really give this place a go.
It’s really not a big surprise when it comes to good food offered by one of another Werner Kuhn’s establishment. ‘Cos it was good as well!
Well, the name of the restaurant already prominently speaks for itself:

The Steakhouse

Located just next to The Whisky Bar (where they are both connected), the Steakhouse is a steak joint that added an exciting offer for steak lovers to the happening & lively streets of Changkat Bukit Bintang. With dim environments, rustic ambiance, vintage posh furnitures as well as an old school wine cellar, The Steakhouse definitely has what it takes to impress their guest through their cuts of steaks, wines and whisky as well.
The beef at The Steakhouse is imported from Australia, and you can choose between the aged Black Angus and grain fed either medallion, tenderloin, rib-eye, T-bone and striploin as well as your favourite sauce to go with.

With recommendation from our host, here’s what he suggested for us. Let’s have a Beef Feast for the night 😀 Special thanks to the Werner’s group 🙂

Air dried Spanish Beef Ham – RM38
Served with rock melon, love the combination of sweet taste from the melon and the hints of saltiness from the thin slices of the spanish beef ham. Used to have just pork ham slices thus, this is definitely new to us.

Beef Carpaccio – RM32
With capers & parmesan
Carpaccio is actually a typical Italian dish made with raw meat. And we had “Beef Sashimi”!
This is an improvised version of minced beef, topped with a raw egg yolk to add a smoother texture. And as for the marinades, 5 types of different spices as well as condiments are mixed all together with the meat. To our surprise this brilliant was a big surprise and it went well with the french loaves. Yum!

Panfried Duck Foie Gras – RM42
with fine bean & orange segments
A melt-in-your-mouth texture we assure you 🙂

Baked Portobello Mushroom – RM26
with spinach & seafood
I personally wouldn’t resist this big chunk of fungi stuffed with seafood buy was kinda holdback with the overwhelmingly overloaded baked cheese. Best for sharing though.

French Onion Soup – RM22
with gruyere and emmental cheese
Another satiating serving of soup. Infused with mega flavours as they paired both gruyere cheese with is creamy, salty, earthy and emmental cheese that exerts the savoury taste. But we personally thought they tasted really good on the first few sips but it kinda gets saltier at the end.

Potato & Seafood Soup – RM28
