Sunday Brunch @ Maison Francaise, Jalan Changkat Kia Peng, KL

Brunch has been a typically American phenomenon, However, during our visit in France, we learnt that brunch has taken the French by storm. Over the last ten years, one of the most common new food establishments in Paris has been cafés specializing in Sunday Brunch.
Like all French meals, French brunch is served in courses. It can take a couple about two hours to meander through a typical Parisian or French brunch.

As for French restaurants in KL, one noticeable trend adding the French flavour to our gastronomic diary would be the French House.

**Picture overload as this place has the perfect natural lighting for photoshoot! 😀

For some introduction & hi-tea experience, read our previous visit on Afternoon Tea HERE 🙂
We both agreed very much on their concept of making one feel at home. Love their relaxed, elegant dining rooms & their lively bar accommodating the perfect setting for any occasion. It would be an absolutely perfect place to be for one who appreciates the elegant ambiance and sophisticated service. With a touch of creativity from Franck Lamache, Executive chef of Maison Francaise, you’ll be pampered with an exciting brunch menu on Sundays!
Sundays brunch just got fancier!

With several servings of different comfort food that Chris and I adore very much.

Sunday Brunch
RM188++ (Red & White Wine included)
RM148++ (Cold Drinks & Juices)

First Serving:
Broiche, bread toast, croissant
Love their imported pastries max! With a fresh selection of fresh bread & croissants to choose from, we felt we’re back to France for a moment. Paired with their cold butter & homemade strawberry as well as apricot jams, it was a great kick start to welcome the upcoming servings.

Homemade Smoked Salmon Platter

Duck Terrine and turkey bacon with French Pickles

Match all these 3 together and you’ll fall in love with the chunky terrines like we did.

Scramble Eggs with Mushroom
One of the best scramble eggs we’ve had we swear 🙂 Especially when it’s tossed with my favourite mushrooms.

Second Serving:
Braised Beef Cheek
Drenched with flavours, the tender beef cheek was another tremendous main course. Cooked for at least 3-4 hours, Chef Franck explained that it would even be tastier & softer if cooked overnight. I really love how he added the glazed onions in it!

Leather jacket fish with red wine sauce
Rubbed with sea salt on it’s “jacket”/ skin the hint of saltiness brought out the overall freshness.
