C ♥ C Mini Moon: Pangkor Laut Resort Day 1

When asked, “When would be your honeymoon?”
I would say, “Next year”

DSC_1354-22

This sounds a little too long, we thought. While waiting for our flight next year, Chris suggested that we go for a “Mini Moon” instead 🙂
Honeymoon, “described the period just after the wedding when things are at their sweetest” says wiki
It should also be a period of time to build a stronger and more intimate relationship with your other half plus a self reward for both, after a long run wedding planning.
So meanwhile, let’s go somewhere nearer!!

We really need some relaxation after our wedding. We need nothing but tenderness and pleasure 🙂
Giving ourselves a pat on the back agreeing we need indulgence and pampered with nature, we chose Pangkor Laut Resort. It’s definitely a great choice for honeymooners who are just available for shorter trips due to hectic lifestyles. And for locals, what’s great is that YTL offers the Residents’ Package.

Residents’ Package – priced at approximately RM1,200 per pax

  • From two nights’ accommodation
  • Daily breakfast, lunch and dinner with complimentary coffee, tea and mineral water served during meals, for every night of stay
  • Return scheduled boat transfers from Marina Island Pangkor

Terms:
A minimum stay of two nights is required.

  • Daily meals included in the package consist of:
  • Two breakfasts at Feast Village
  • Two 2-course lunches at Royal Bay Beach Club or Chapman’s Bar
  • Two dinners at Uncle Lim’s Kitchen, Feast Village or The Straits

We opted for the Hill Villa overlooking the beautiful emerald sea, lapped by gentle waves.
Away from the bustling agendas, it was our natural sanctuary for the next 3 days. A private paradise for intimacy & privacy!

They provide excellent & memorable service. We were greeted with smiles and ushered to the lobby with grace.
Wet hankies, Welcome drinks, & island briefings were offered attentively.

Being so thoughtful, they even remembered Chris mentioned we were newly-weds at the jetty

After a round of “room appreciation” we proceed for lunch at the Royal Bay Beach Club.

Royal Bay Beach Club (LUNCH)
The restaurant overlook the infinity pool serves a selection of Asian and Western favourites for lunch. In the evening, the restaurant will transform into a chic chill-out lounge serving cocktails and other beverages. You can ignore the price actually. It’s included in the package.

Dinner Time
Uncle Lim’s Kitchen
A spherical layed-out restaurant built on top a rocky outcrop overlooking the sea. It was named after the chef who has been with the Resort since its inception.
Uncle Lim’s specialises in Nyonya and Hockchew Chinese-style home cooking. All dishes are inspired by the unique products available locally, and made to each guest’s individual tastes and requirements. Craving for exotic flavours of the East? Here’s where you should try.

NOTE: A gentle reminder for those who would opt to stay at the hill. Please ensure all doors are locked as you wouldn’t want these mischievous monkeys turn your room upside down. Even the staffs here sometimes have a hard time doing room cleaning. Oops.
