Exploring the relaxing lifestyles of the locals at Ambleside is a true wonder. Strolling around at a slow pace; sitting under a tree eating pastry and sipping coffee. After another long walk, got tired after many sight-seeings and souvenir shopping, we popped by a cafe to settle down at Lucy’s on a Plate located on Church Street.

Windermere @ Lake District9

We read about Lucy setting up her own small delicatessen with a £1,000 loan about 20 years ago, but now the mother-of-four efforts has been seen and was rewarded as her Lake District café has been named as the UK’s best dessert restaurant outside London!

A cosy delicatessen, café & restaurant with huge portion of lunch servings.
I heart their cumbria sausages and croissant

Blue Mountain Coffee is a wonder especially for coffee lovers.

Good things always have to come to an end, sadly. The next morning, we drove back to Glasgow and if you’re going to drive like us, you will sure to pass by the hills that’ll guarantee you make a pit stop.

Even the bikers joined the crowd to witness the mighty winds of the mountains, brushing us goodbye.
