From its modern & stylish name, have you ever thought of anything related to Thai?
Not us, this never crossed our mind.
A place filled with surprises we shall say, Funky Villa embraced a bistro/ bar-like dining concept, portraying a hype of youth atmosphere. Decorated with typical Thai restaurant settings or decos? No.
Colourful mural at the bar counter, displayed with a giant screen that hums Thai melody, matching wall lightings that entirely brought out the happening atmosphere.
Not authentic you might say, but the food did this classic job pretty well.

A Northern Thai Specialty Dish, this serving is kinda difficult to prepare. But it was just lovely.
Tom Yum Kung – RM23.00++
House Specialty – Tom Yum Prawns Cooked with Young Coconut Pulp
If it could be spicier, would definitely give more kick!
Tom Kha Seafood – RM22.00++
Spicy & sour soup in coconut milk based.
I actually preferred this compared to TomYum as you could really taste its ‘original’ flavour in it somehow.
Cat Fish Mango Salad – RM 22.00++
Stir fried squid in salted egg yolk – RM17.00++
Chewy fresh squids tossed with salted egg gravy made our day.
Thai Steam Otak Otak in Coconut (Homok) – RM23.00++
Steamed Fish with Red Curry & Herbs served in fresh coconut
Thai Herbs Minced Chicken – RM12.00++
Crispy Battered Minced Chicken Meat with an Array of Thai Herbs & & Crunchy Rice. A perfect snacks that’ll go with your beer!

Dessert Twin Dessert special – Mango sticky rice & Red Rubies (waterchesnut with jackfruit), served with vanilla ice-cream – RM16.90++

Verdict:
We love the food here. Flavoursome, you have it. Food presentation was good too. The environment would be great for a drink or 2. A place that we would definitely drop by again for more. Happy hour next! Care to join us?
