Bro’s Birthday @ Xenri Japanese Restaurant, Wisma Elken

I almost forgot what I did when I bid my teenage years goodbye and said hello to the 20-ish phase. Everything just happened so fast. Too fast before I could even sit down and commit to my memory and learn all those past events by heart.

Now, it’s already my dear brother Kent’s turn. He just turned 20!
Off we went to welcome him to our 20s group at Xenri in Wisma Elken (another branch in Menara Hap Seng). This was really a pay off for him as Japanese cuisine is still his darling choice for years.

Edible Gold Flake in the Japanese Sake. I wonder this ended up in whose stomach.
Other choices of Japanese spread that we ordered and the ambiance can be viewed during our previous visit HERE.
Verdict: Although Xenri serve one of the finest and delicious unadulterated Japanese fares, there were 2 particular dishes that remained fastened in my mind; Special Sashimi was superiorly fresh and the grilled tuna jaw too did a splendid job surprising everyone. Its smoky flavour was memorable and affixed with lotsa meat too.
Still, Kampachi remained my family’s favourite. This reminded me that we went Kampachi during Kent’s birthday 2 years back HERE.

Birthday song time! To break the ‘birthday-cake-cutting-session’ tradition, he was declared being officially 20 years old with some Big Apple Donuts.

Poor salmon sashimi. Gobbled up by the birthday boy.
Green Tea ice cream just for Kent, a complimentary gift from Xenri

Just to share some videos of Kent with you. He entered the ASTRO Battleground 舞极限competition & managed to reach into the Top 7 category outta many groups that went for auditions and more rounds of battles with his team mates. We’re just so proud of him! Since he’s not in the competition anymore, our family can finally gather round like this on his birthday! More shows coming up on Astro soon. Go watch Astro Wah Lai Toi (Channel 311) every Saturday at 7pm (repeats on Sunday 2 pm)! 🙂
