SS2 Murni

Before continuing to review on the food I had in a sequential order, decided to slip some posts up first as I wanna show off ;P
Wanna show off the shots I took with my new baby
The mighty Canon PowerShot 🙂
Can be compared to DSLR wor!! LoL. Secound thought… maybe not.

Still a freshie with the camera, love managing the manual captures. Still find it quite difficult to adjust the lighting sometimes. Even Chris is better than me ;P Really have to find the time to just sit there adjusting and exploring the functions properly! Tried that once and my food had gone cold. My bad.

After getting my new babe last week, the next day, Chris and I went for a late dinner with Lick at SS2. Where to? Having heard about the popular SS2 Murni from friends, relatives and fellow bloggers, we decided to hit that place.
While Chris and I were in SS2 earlier that week for lunch, we went around to check out on the restaurants nearby and wanted to look for Murni. We missed that street where it’s located and went home unsure after our lunch.
Thanks to tankiasu, it’s actually located at the shoplots behind the KFC. Easy to find.
It’s only open at night if I’m not mistaken… No wonder I can’t find during the day ;P
Quite a small restaurant but they occupied lots of space!
With tables and chairs trailing along the corridor of shops… extending up to the main entrance of Public Bank! What a business!
People seen everywhere!

With some resemblance to the recognized mamak mushrooming nowadays like Steven’s Corner, Williams and so on… they offer great variety of food, from Western to even Chinese! Business maneuvered well enough to suit customers appetite!

Chris and I shared the Ribena Special, a big, tall glass of ice blended Ribena with lychee and watermelon. Unfamiliar taste, I find it kinda special 😉

Lick went for their Mango Special, with lychees and cubicles of watermelon as well.

As for our mains, we all shared the:
Spaghetti Carbonara. Although it can’t really be compared to the portion we had back at Marco’s Pizza, but it’s likeable too. Creamy and distinctively flavoured!

Nasi Lemak Ayam was just moderately good. The sambal were kinda over-sweetened and spicy. Aromatic rice and firm chicken drumstick marinated with spice!

Since the waiter highly recommend their Chicken Chop Fried Rice, we had this as well. Didn’t really fancy the fried rice, we find it typical. The Chicken Chop gave the dish the boost. With the black pepper sauce, it saved our declining expectations. Meat was tender and well-cooked.

Roti Salad was quite a disappointing one. Maybe it’s due to the overflow of cabbages it’s enclosed with! Too bad the salads weren’t cold enough. Cold vegetables or salads wrapped around with hot pan fried roti would be lovely!

Out total bill came up to RM36. Average in amount, we agreed that this place were of just approved attainment.

What did you think of my captures? Sorry if the pictures have not met the expected standard.. Will try improving them 😉

Enjoy the weekends!! ;P
